We cover the cost of your .tech domain for 10 years—the standard lifecycle of a domain—so long as you use it as your startup’s primary domain name and meet the usage terms. After that, you’ll have the option to renew it at your own cost.

To keep your sponsored .tech domain for the entire 10-year duration, you must:

• Use it as your startup’s primary domain.
• Start using it within 4 months of receiving the domain name. If not, it goes back into the program.
• The domain name must remain your startup’s primary domain name, throughout the 10 years. If not, sponsorship may be revoked.
• Do not redirect, park, or resell the domain. All of these will result in the sponsorship being revoked.
• The sponsorship covers costs for the domain for 10 years—the standard lifetime of a domain. After that, you’re free to renew it on your own.
